Ellie B. Downey, CPA

Ellie is a 2017 graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy. She began her career at a regional public accounting firm in her hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana, and obtained her CPA certification in 2020. 

Ellie gained several years of audit experience before joining Brockway, Gersbach, Franklin & Niemeier, P.C. as a Senior Accountant in July 2021. She provides audit and assurance services to not-for-profit, for-profit, and governmental entities. Ellie’s responsibilities also include performing audits of employee benefit plans in accordance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
